Hello! Welcome to Byrdseed. I’m Ian Byrd. You can read more about me here. Here are some places to start exploring the site.
You Don’t Need More Ideas
- As a teacher, my biggest problem was that I had way too much to do.
- Yet, I kept adding more to my plate by endlessly looking for “more ideas”. (Sound familiar!)
- Then, when I started leading workshops, I’d share lots and lots and lots of “ideas.”
- Teachers liked my ideas. I was an in-demand speaker! (See my record here) But I realized that teachers are just too busy to implement ideas.
So, I changed my goal from merely “sharing more ideas” to solving teachers’ biggest problem. I create full-on lessons, projects, and investigations that you can just use. And you’ll find all of that at Byrdseed.TV. It’s used by thousands of teachers!
📧 Mailers
I send a bunch of weekly emails. These are all free!
- Question Renovation Mailer! On Mondays, I send an email in which I renovate an old question or task I used in my classroom. Teachers find it fascinating. I find it slightly embarrassing. 😝
- The Puzzlements Mailer Every Friday, I send five links to curiosity-provoking videos and images. These are resources to help set a culture of curiosity in your classroom.
