No matter how prepared I was for the day, something always came up that needed to be taken care of during a recess or lunch break.
And, naturally, I always forgot.
So I gave one student the class job of “Mr. Byrd’s Brain.”
This person simply kept notes for me as things came up.
- make another copy of the yearbook order form
- ask Miss Chan about the date of her next science test
- check with office about Friday’s music assembly time
At recess, lunch, or the end of the day, Mr. Byrd’s Brain would hand me the notes. I’m sure you know the students in your class who are perfect candidates to be your personal reminder system! They won’t even need you to tell them to write it down! They won’t need you to remind them to remind you. They will just Become Your Brain.
