Hello! Welcome to Byrdseed. I’m Ian Byrd. You can read more about me here. Here are some places to start exploring the site.
📧 Mailers
I send several weekly emails. These are all free!
- Monday: Question Renovation Mailer! On Mondays, I send an email in which I renovate an old question or task I used in my classroom. Teachers find it fascinating. I find it slightly embarrassing. 😝
- Friday: The Puzzlements Mailer Every Friday, I send five links to curiosity-provoking videos and images. These are resources to help set a culture of curiosity in your classroom.
- Thursdays: Examples of Depth and Complexity – I show some mistakes I used to make with incorporating depth and complexity.
If You’re Feeling Overwhelmed, You Don’t Need More Ideas!
This was my biggest mind shift as someone who supports teachers. Teachers need solutions, not more ideas.
Check out my YouTube channel here.
- Instead of sharing more ideas, I try to solve teachers’ #1 problem.
- That problem is always: I have too much to do.
- So: I create full-on lessons, projects, and investigations that you can just use. And you’ll find all of that at Byrdseed.TV. It’s used by thousands of teachers!
